FAQ

Answers to your frequently asked tattoo questions

Where are you located?
Our tattoo studio is located in Tallebudgera, QLD (Gold Coast).
As Ellipsis Tattoo is a private tattoo studio, our complete address is withheld until an appointment is made.

How can I pay for my tattoo?
Payments will be made to your tattoo artist directly. Please ask your artist about payment terms before your appointment.

What should I expect from an appointment at Ellipsis Tattoo?
A safe, clean and comfortable experience in a modern, licenced, professional tattoo studio.
Our space is all-inclusive and holds comfort and professionalism to the highest standard.

Can I bring a friend/partner/family member with me to my appointment?
Yes, our studio space allows for someone to come with you, but please limit your companion to a single person where possible. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible in the space - however we ask that you understand that you will yield the best results from your sessions if your artist is able to focus their attention on the tattoo. As this is an experience requiring a large amount of time/focus/energy, we ask that no children accompany you to your appointment.

Do you accept walk-in appointments?
We are currently operating at a private, appointment-only basis. Please contact artists directly for bookings.

Do you use vegan inks?
All of our base studio products are vegan-friendly and regarded at the highest of industry quality. Individual artists may use individual specialised products though, so please ask your artists directly if there are any concerns about any products being used. With highest possible quality still regarded, eco-friendly products are also used where possible.

Is there anyone you can't tattoo?
Legally we cannot tattoo anyone under the age of 18, pregnant or breastfeeding women, anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or anyone with a transmittable disease. Ellipsis Tattoo reserves the right to refuse service to anyone under any condition at any time.

A consent form must be filled out and signed - with your ID sighted - for all appointments (including touchups).

What should I do before I come in for my appointment?
Please mark your appointment in your calendar to avoid forgetting/missing it and losing your deposit.

Ensure you eat and drink plenty of water before coming in. Tattooing can be quite taxing on your body (even if you’re experienced in the chair) and different conditions can cause different reactions.
We recommend bringing in a sugary snack to avoid low blood sugar levels (however you will have access to our refreshments table during your appointment). There is a convenience store, bakery and cafes within the complex for food options also. Please also check with your artist about specific policies regarding designs/appointments as each artist has their own methods/policies.
